We've just added two more databases for research in all disciplines:
British Periodicals lets you keyword-search the full text facsimiles of more than 160 British periodicals from the late 17th to the early 20th century, covering literature, philosophy, history, science, the fine arts and social science. When complete, it will comprise some6 million searchable pages from almost 500 periodical runs published from the 1680s to the 1930s.
Wellesley Index to Victorian Periodicals, 1824-1900 is widely considered to be the most important general index to British periodicals of the 19th century. Most articles of this period were published anonymously or under pseudonyms, and index identifies authors of articles in 45 major Victorian periodicals, with a bibliography for each contributor.
